The
beautiful city
of Revelstoke is located in south-eastern British
Columbia, Canada’s most western province, between the
Monashee and Selkirk Mountain, in the North Columbia
Mountains. Revelstoke is situated at the confluence of
the Illecillewaet and Columbia Rivers, at the north end
of the Arrow Lakes.
Revelstoke
can be found at 50059’53”N 118011’44”W and has an
elevation of 480meters (1,575 feet).
Due to the
proximity to mountain ranges, Revelstoke is no stranger
to a range of wildlife. Black bear sightings are very
common in the summer, along with the occasional Grizzly
bear sighting on Mount Revelstoke. Other animals in the
area are cougars, deer, moose, and coyotes.
